Competition in the fuel market myth or reality – Part II

Abstract

The study represents a continuation of research of current situation in the fuel market - Part II, which is one of the trending topics of the country. It specifies conclusions and recommendations prepared by the author in Part I, based on review of studies conducted by competition regulatory authority.

Besides, the study discusses an issue of effectiveness of operation of competition regulatory numbers in practice, which is widely established / approved in international practice and accordingly reflected / harmonized in Georgian legal system. The study summarizes the segment of state procurement market in terms of current situation in the fuel market.

The final part includes the author`s conclusions and proposals regarding challenges, the fuel market currently faces and offers solutions to overcome.
